This came out amazing! Love the way you made all the personalized items and the TARHEEL ACCENTS were the best (considering I am Tarheel alumni myself!). Great job.

We are having a great week over at Cooking With Cricut this week!  If you haven't heard yet this week we are creating projects to celebrate our 2nd anniversary!  If you want to know more about all the goodies you can win and the freebies you get daily, head on over to CWC to enter for your chance to win.  You also get a peek at what the DT has been up to and perhaps get some serious inspiration!

Today's theme was Lace, ruffles, or bows.  I have been really inspired to start/ finish scrapbooks for my kids.  I am always making cards and other stuff why not throw in my scrapbook pages.  I have ALL of my pictures organized, so thats half the battle right?! LOL (actually picking paper is for me...of course AFTER picture organization LOL)

LOVE the sheer ribbon and "lace" punched look!

Believe it or not but this paper is from MME School! LOVE the way it looks!

To make this I used:

My gypsy to size the photo mats, journal tag, and the phrase

Cart ~ Sugar and Spice
Misc. ~ Sticky ribbon (from Big Lots a couple of years ago), MS Lace punch, ribbon from my stash, studio g flower, and twine.

Banana Bread...Thanks a Bunch!

Hello and welcome to Michelle's Crafty Creations.

Today I wanted to post a picture of a thank you card I made and the BEST banana bread EVER!  I would totally share with you all the recipe, BUT it is my nana's recipe thus it must remain a secret!!

My daughter has perfected this recipe...I will say that.  She is a baker and loves to cook...just like her mama!  This makes wonderful thank you gifts, and that is exactly what we did with this yummy loaf and card! (pictures to come of the bread too!)

I made this cute banana shape card.  I thought it was so appropriate for the gift!  Next time I will use a bag and make it as a tag. :)

Peachy Keen stamps make your projects so much cuter!!

YUM!

To make this card:

I used my Gypsy to size the banana.
Carts~ Create A Critter for the banana and layers including shadow feature for the base.  That was welded on my Gypsy as well.
Paper ~ Colorbok solid
Misc ~ PKS Wide Eyed Kid assortment stamp; Ranger Distress Ink Tea Dye for inking; White and brown gelly roll pens for doodling; Chalk for the cheeks.

Cooking With Cricut Blogaversary Day Two!

Hey friends welcome to Michelle's Crafty Creations.

Today is Day 2 of Cooking With Cricut and Paper Crafting World's 2nd Blogaversary blog hop!

You should have come from Melin at Paper Crafting World.  If you just happened upon my blog, please head back to Melin and start from there.  You definitely do not want to miss her amazing work and all the information about the goodies you can win!

Remember, this is the kickoff to the week long celebration at CWC and PWC where you can enter for your chance to win some awesome goodies and get some free goodies daily!

In keeping with tradition, we are creating projects that would display cloth, crystal, and or glass.

I created a little something outside the box.  My "cloth" was denim and other colored cotton fabric. (scraps from my sew pile).  I got a head start on Father's Day and created something for my awesome husband and wonderful Dad to our 3 children!

Before I post a picture I must say this, I was TOTALLY out of my comfort zone.  BUT I had SO much fun being free and not OCD!! LOL

Frayed the edges after I sewed them

Found this VERY fitting poem

Love my "pom pom" made from twine!

Finally used my wooden moose and tree

Brad on cloth?! Oh yeah!

Materials:
Cricut Cartridge: A Child's Year for the "D-A-D"; Create A Critter for the heart and "Love"
ALL fabric except pictures and poem.
Denim pieces were cut at 6"x5"
Scrap fabric from various sewing projects and randomly sewed onto "scrap book"
Hot glue gun for the wooden pieces and twine.

My thought when I first wanted to do this was, "Oh boy, I don't think I can just sew and let things unravel and fray"....but letting my hair down and giving it the "thrown" together look....I like it...very relaxing and FUN!

NOW don't forget CWC -PWC has some cartridges and other fantastic prizes YOU can WIN!!  Make sure you leave a comment daily AND become a follower!!

Happy Mother's Day Mom!!

Hello and welcome to Michelle's Crafty Creations!

Today at Cooking With Cricut and our weekly Wednesday challenge.  Boy have we cooked up some fun things for you all to see.  Our challenge was to create a Mother's Day gift that does NOT include a card!  What a fun challenge!!

With my mom living in Hawaii, I KNEW that this would not make it to her in time.  I just ordered her FRESH flowers to be delivered tomorrow or Friday for her.  I made these for me!  YES!  I said it. I have NEVER made me  anything!!  I made it to put on my table.  I don't have to water them and they won't die!! ;)

LOVE how it came out!!

Aren't those hearts SO cute!!

To make this I used:

Carts: Walk in My Garden for flowers cut at different sizes for layers.  Doodlecharms for the hearts.

Misc: PKS Wide eyed assortment for the face stamps on the hearts with white gelly roll pen for doodling and eye detail.  Foam dots for dimension on my flowers.

I had a clear vase on hand, filled it with green tissue paper, placed the flowers on sticks, tied a ribbon from my stash round the vase and used a handwritten sentiment for the tag and tied that on with some hemp from SU.  Voila!!  A pretty centerpiece!!

Now it's your turn!!

Link up your project to the Cooking With Cricut challenge post.  There are some guidelines.

1.  Must follow the challenge topic.
2.  Must be a new project for this challenge
3.  No back dated posts please
4.  Must have a link back to this post on your blog

6.  Must use your Cricut in some capacity
7.  Gotta HAVE FUN!!!
