I don't think I have posted anything in almost a week! YIKES! It has been extremely busy here with starting homeschool, getting my first born off to college, and yes......decorating for fall!! I LOVE the smells and veggies of fall! :) (I also like the start of cooler weather...I know it's not official, but thats me!)
Without further ado, here is the paint can I made for my other niece for her birthday. Sadly to report, the other can I decorated and sent is lost in the mail as we speak...:(
Top of the can. She really liked whimsical/frilly things. She is also pretty simple. Tried to balance the two! I love the stickles and how they added some sparkle to the butterfly!
I did her name as flowers to go with the butterfly. Plus her name, Tehya, is short so I had to improvise so I wouldn't have a half finished side! ;)
Heres the whimsical butterfly that just flew away from the flowers!
All the pretty ribbon that tied around her handle. It kind of gets lost in the fall decorations in the background, but I went with mostly sheer ribbons.
I had a lot of fun making this for her. I must say, I prefer the metal paint cans over the "see-through" crafty ones much better. Everything just seems so crisp and laid together right. PLUS the handles come off and it makes it easier to decorate. Seeing how the empty paint cans cost 4 dollars and some change at Lowes....they are also cheaper than the crafty ones!
Materials I used:
Carts: Storybook, Plantin School book, Live Simply, Walk in My Garden
Paper: Colorbok and DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies
Misc: ribbon(from my stash) and stickles and flowers (from my stash)
Hope you had a great midweek so far!
Hugs,
Michelle
