Happy 6th Birthday.....Giraffe butt!

Hey Crafty buddies!  I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!  I have been working on this card for awhile and really haven't had time to post it!  A little late is better than never!!  I wanted to try something different and being my first time doing a tri-fold card, I think it came out ok! :) I am entering this in a few challenges.  At Fantabulous Cricut they are having the Birthday Bash for the Challenge Me Monday #74 card challenge. The other challenge is Let's Face it Friday over at Peachy Keen Stamps.

Here's what I used to make this card:
GYPSY!! LOL

Carts: Plantin Schoolbook (for base), Create a Critter, Storybook (for the number 6 only)
Paper: Colorbok (all scraps)
Misc: PKS for the giraffe face(yes it is a person face, but my niece will LOVE it), jelly roll pen for doodles, SU for inking

Measurements:
The card is cut so that when it folds it will measure 5.25x4.25.
I used 3 squares from Plantin and welded them.  Center = 4x5.25 Sides = 3.22x2.75
Giraffe, Happy Bday, and Palm tree were welded at the base too.
Giraffe and layers = 1.64 x 3.49
Happy Bday = 5.24 x 2.63
Palm Tree and layers = 2.45 x 2.61
6 = 1.23 x 2.61
Grass: Center = 5.36 x 1.36, sides = 3.18 x .80
For the grass I copied one of each and just transposed it for a layered look.  I also had to trim very minimal off so the card could fold correctly.   It was fairly easy and I like how it came out!

My niece LOVES giraffes, and she got a pair of PJ's for Christmas with giraffe print...hence the nicknamed earned: giraffe butt!! LOL

Enjoy and have a great Monday!!

Hugs,

Wish Big.....in a cupcake!!

Hello my crafty friends!!  I wanted to do one more post today of a card I made for PKS challenge for the Let's Face it Friday - shaped cards.  I made this cute cupcake card for my niece to send along with the altered paint can I posted a little while ago.  I think she will LOVE it!!

Front

Inside

Here is what I did to make this card:

Gypsy ~ Welded base card at the bottom
Carts ~ Doodlcharms for all images
Paper ~ Colorbok
Stamp ~ PK-490 Everyday character, SU Short and sweet for sentiment and cupcake
Embossing ~ Cuttlebug Divine Swirls
Ink ~ Memento
Misc ~ Diamond dust,  pink and white jelly roll pen for doodling

I welded the base of the cupcake at the bottom after inverting the image.  Then I layered the cupcake.  When using my Gypsy I hid some of the layer features and cut off the candle at the top of the cupcake.   After embossing the frosting layer I added diamond dust to the embossing for a "icing" effect!

Measurements:
Base ~ 3.77 x 4.53 (per cupcake)
Layers ~ 3.77 x 4.53 (all)
Inside ~ 3.08 x 3.71

Have fun crafting!!  I love comments so if you feel inclined, let me know what you think! :)
Hugs,
Michelle
