Banana Bread...Thanks a Bunch!

Hello and welcome to Michelle's Crafty Creations.

Today I wanted to post a picture of a thank you card I made and the BEST banana bread EVER!  I would totally share with you all the recipe, BUT it is my nana's recipe thus it must remain a secret!!

My daughter has perfected this recipe...I will say that.  She is a baker and loves to cook...just like her mama!  This makes wonderful thank you gifts, and that is exactly what we did with this yummy loaf and card! (pictures to come of the bread too!)

I made this cute banana shape card.  I thought it was so appropriate for the gift!  Next time I will use a bag and make it as a tag. :)

Peachy Keen stamps make your projects so much cuter!!

YUM!

To make this card:

I used my Gypsy to size the banana.
Carts~ Create A Critter for the banana and layers including shadow feature for the base.  That was welded on my Gypsy as well.
Paper ~ Colorbok solid
Misc ~ PKS Wide Eyed Kid assortment stamp; Ranger Distress Ink Tea Dye for inking; White and brown gelly roll pens for doodling; Chalk for the cheeks.

Moo Cow..and blog candy winner!

Hello and welcome to Michelle's Crafty Creations!

I just HAD to share this card and short story with you all!! :)  My son's birthday is this Saturday.  He will be 19 and currently away at college.  I wanted to create a card for him that SCREAMS Chris. Well, when he was little, he LOVED animals.  Any animal we drove by, which usually were cows, he would constantly ask us the same question over and over again.  My sister, Jenn (whom he affectionately called Jenny) lived by a farm.  EVERY time we drove by the farm he would say, "Dat a moo-cow auntie Jenny? Auntie Jenny, dat a moo-cow?"  HAHAHAHA!!  So of course I had to make him a cow card for his birthday.  Something to make him smile and nostalgia for me! LOL  So heres the cow- helooks HYSTERICAL!!!

Is this face not funny??!!
I was giggling the whole time I was constructing this!!

The inside

The BEST part:
I put him on an action wobble!!

To make this card:

Cart: Create a Critter designed on my Gypsy
Paper: Colorbok
Stamps: PKS Cornies face assortment
Misc: White gelly roll pen for eyes and teeth, black pen to outline stamp face and nose; Inking from Ranger Distress Ink Tea Dye; action wobble to make it come alive!

Now for the blog winner from this past weekend's blog hop goes to....

"Me Ridin' My Ho-see"

You're probably wondering....what is up with the title!!  Well, it goes with my son's birthday card!!! :)

When he was little he LOVED to pretend to be a cowboy.  As a matter of fact he liked to be "Wahkah Teckas Waynja"(his title exactly)

One day, when he was about 3 he was "riding" his pretend horse up and down the hallway.  I got out my video camera to just collect some common days on video.  Well, he makes this horse noise and stops by the "camera" to say hey.  I say, "Hey, Dustin, Whatcha doin?" He says, "Me ridin my Ho-see." I say, "Ohh, what is your horsie's name?"  He firmly replies, "Cow."  I then say, "Ohhh, what sound does a horse make?" He says, "Moooo." Makes a horse whinny and rides off into the "sunset"!  I don't think I laughed so hard...oh my..he was a funny child, and super funny 18 year old! :) Enjoy the pictures!

Makes me smile!

I fringed his chaps!

My little sheriff!

To make this fun shaped card I used:
Carts ~ Create A Critter for the horse and sheriff badge; Paperdoll Dress Up for cowboy, fence, and grass; Plantin Schoolbook for rectangles.  Everything was created on my Gypsy.
Paper ~ Colorbok
Stamp: PKS (PK-490) Everyday Character Face Assortment for boy and PK- 754 Critter Faces Set A Medium for horse (nostrils were drawn)
Misc ~ Ranger Distress Ink: Tea Dye; gold and white gelly roll pens for doodling and outlining; Sentiments are handwritten.

I {heart} you

Hey crafty friends!  Hope you are all enjoying your Sunday!!  I am sure we have all been busy trying to get our Valentines gifts ready! ;)

I made these cute little goodie bags for the kids in my Sunday School class and two extras for "best boy" and "best girl" in Jr. Church.  I have been challenging myself to make things more frugal and use whatever I have on hand.  Today it was lunch bags.  For whatever reason I could NOT find white paper bags, so I had to use brown....oh well!  They came out cute anyway!!

I stuffed these cute baggies with a Little Debbie heart cake and Fun Dip! Sweets for some sweet kids!

To Make this I used:
Cart ~ Doodlecharms for the heart sized with my Gypsy
Paper ~ K&Co and DCWV
Stamp ~ PKS
Misc ~ Paper bag for the goodie bag, ribbon from my stash, pink and white gelly roll pen for doodling and coloring the eyes, Heart tissue paper for the gift inside, and hole puncher for the ribbon.

Happy Crafting!

Christmas Crafting Fun ~ Day 18

Hello my crafty friends and welcome to Michelle's Crafty Creations.

I hope you have been enjoying the 25 Days Of Christmas Crafting Fun over at Cooking With Cricut and checking daily for your free digi stamps and cutting files!  It has been SUCH a great time and the ladies on the DT are so talented.  What an honor to work with them!

The theme for today was Nativity, Angels rejoicing the good news, etc.  Of course with Christmas around the corner we are all preparing our house for guests, hopefully done decorating the house ;), sending Christmas cards, buying gifts, etc.  the list is truly long.  However, there is so much more to Christmas.  Christmas is all about Christ.  We focus a lot on His death, for without it we would have no salvation.  But without his birth there would be no death.  Jesus Christ left His home in glory, as a King, worshipped by angels, cherubims surround His throne singing, all to come to earth, in a lowly manger, with much humility, wrapped in swaddling clothes, and placed in a trough....for me...for you...for everyone!  his birth indeed was miraculous.  What a wonderful time to reflect and remember, let's just not forget to remember that more than once a year.  So with that said, I decided to make a card reflecting the stable scene.

Stair Step card

To Make this I used:

Cart ~ Paper Doll Dress Up.  I used my gypsy to size the people, animals, and manger.
Paper ~ Colorbok
Stamps ~ Misc stamp set from Hobby Lobby, Sentiment from Hobby Lobby, PKS for face
Ink ~ Colorbox chalk ink: chestnut, Ranger Distress: tea dye, Memnto black
Misc~ gold distress stickles, MS pen for doodling, White gelly roll for eyes, black enamel paint, recollections brown and white flock, pink chalk for lamb, raffia for straw.

Don't forget to become a follower of Cooking With Cricut and leave at least one comment during the 25 Days for your chance to win some pretty awesome goodies!!

Happy Crafting!!
