Christmas in July...Where did the Time Go??!!

Hey all my crafty peeps!!  Welcome to Michelle's Crafty Creations.

Welcome to Day 4 of Christmas in July over at Cooking With Cricut.

We have a week-long celebration of projects to get you all in the "holiday spirit".  This is just a lil' taste of our Annual 25 Days of Christmas Crafting Showcase held each December.  If you have missed any days, I HIGHLY recommend you go back and check them out!  Don't we all LOVE inspiration?!  (I do....and uh...need it too)

Today is all about Home Decor, 3-D, Gifts, etc.  I made these CUTE boxes again...I have made in past.  They are super easy and you can make them for ANY occasion!

For my project I was able to get all of my co-workers their goodie gifts for Christmas.

I want to thank Okieladybug for the template she made on her DS.  You can find the link to the post HERE.  She has COMPLETE and EASY instructions on cutting and putting it together!

LOVE the paper!  I used My Mind's Eye Oh Christmas Tree and Dear Santa
Plain paper is Colorbok.

The Sentiment and snowflake stamp is SU.  I used Stickles Diamond, Crystal, and Red for the snowflake.

I used Ranger Distress Ink Fired Brick,  Dew Drop Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue, and Color Box Chalk ink Chestnut for the edges.

The square with the snowflake was just cut on my paper slicer.

Aren't they so cute???

These goodie boxes can fit 3 Ghiradelli chocolate squares.  I am waiting for the peppermint bark to come out and fill it up. (one of my FAVES that only comes around Christmas!)

What's your favorite Ghiradelli chocolate?

Hugs and Happy Crafting!

This came out amazing! Love the way you made all the personalized items and the TARHEEL ACCENTS were the best (considering I am Tarheel alumni myself!). Great job.

Today's theme was Lace, ruffles, or bows.  I have been really inspired to start/ finish scrapbooks for my kids.  I am always making cards and other stuff why not throw in my scrapbook pages.  I have ALL of my pictures organized, so thats half the battle right?! LOL (actually picking paper is for me...of course AFTER picture organization LOL)

LOVE the sheer ribbon and "lace" punched look!

Believe it or not but this paper is from MME School! LOVE the way it looks!

To make this I used:

My gypsy to size the photo mats, journal tag, and the phrase

Cart ~ Sugar and Spice
Misc. ~ Sticky ribbon (from Big Lots a couple of years ago), MS Lace punch, ribbon from my stash, studio g flower, and twine.

A "Note" of Thanks..

Hey all my crafty friends!  Welcome to Michelle's Crafty Creations!

Over at Cooking With Cricut we are celebrating "National Card and Letter Writing" during the month of April.  In this day of texting and Face book, card and letter writing is really a lost art.  It is so easy and quick to send a quick text or e-card that basic sentiment seems like a lost art.   I LOVE making cards.  I don't make them JUST to enter a challenge.  Mine always have a purpose with someone intended for the card.  It gives meaning behind it to me.  It is personal.  For this card I made today it is personal.

I have SUCH a sweet friend who goes to my church.  I say friend, she is actually old enough to be my grandma.  She is ALWAYS caring and SO thoughtful.  Not to just me, but to everyone.  My husband was coughing one day in church and that evening she brought some natural cough drops for him! LOL  She is always bringing me coupon inserts {insert coupon addict for me here}, gift cards just because, over stocked items she has purchased from coupons, snacks for my kids....you get the picture!  I LOVE her.  Not because she does this for me, but because it shows her care and servant's spirit.  I admire her.  I hope to leave a legacy like hers.  So this is for her!

I LOVE the simplicity!
I was actually going to write on the front of this card, but decided against it.

To make this card:

Cart~ Gypsy Wanderings for the flourish and Sentiment
Paper~ My Minds Eye Academy (LOVE the paper)
Misc. ~ SU hemp, button and bling from my stash,  Ranger Distress Ink Tea Dye around the sentiment. and Colorbox's Chestnut ink around the edge of the card.

Now it's your turn!!

Warm Holiday Wishes...

Hey all my crafty friends!!!

It has been a while since I posted anything.  With Thanksgiving and the crazy shopping and Christmas decorating...sheesh....I finally had time to escape to my craft room and create this cute Christmas card.

Over at Cooking with Cricut we were challenged to make a project with wreaths, pine cones, or candles.  This is to celebrate the start of Advent on Sunday, November 27th.  Advent is usually associated with Catholics.  We are Baptist and we take time each day to recall the true meaning of Christmas.  As Christians, this should be a daily thing.  We strive to do that.  However, during Christmas one can get caught up in the hoopla of busyness and forget the true meaning of Christmas.  If it were not for our Saviour, Jesus Christ, being born none of us would have the opportunity to go to Heaven.  His birth is just as miraculous as His death.  Jesus is the REAL reason for the season.  We want our kids to know this and hold onto this.  We want them to pass this on to their children as well.  I hope you all are able to stop and reflect on what we are celebrating and why.

I LOVE candles, so I wanted to make a candle card.  I enjoyed making this and am pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Edges were inked with Ranger distress ink

some stickled stars

glossy accent for "wax"

To make this card:

Cart: Christmas (that's what it says on my Gypsy) Gypsy to size the layers, and weld the shadow feature.
Paper: Colorbok and My Mind's Eye Christmas stack
Ink: Ranger distress ink tea dye and fired brick.  Tea dye was used around the candle and holder, and the stamped paper.  Fired brick was used around the card and for the sentiment.
Misc: Glossy accent for the "wax" look; diamond stickles for the stars around the sentiment; sentiment and ribbon from my stash; foam dots to give the candle dimension.

Now it's your turn!!  create a project with wreaths, pine cones, or candles.  Link up your project to the Cooking With Cricut challenge post.  There are some guidelines.

1.  Must follow the challenge topic.

Tis the Season

Hello fellow crafters!!!

It has been TOO long since I have been able to post some things I have been creating.  I have been working on a lot of crafts, and will post them as soon as I can.  I wanted to start on Christmas cards, but Thanksgiving is right around the corner so I have been doing some Fall/Thanksgiving theme cards.  However, I fell in love with this stamp from The Greeting Farm!  I made a Christmas card to go with this cute little elf.  Hope you enjoy it.

I am entering this in Erika's challenge over at Crafty Sprouts Getting Sketchy With It!  Check out the other talent over there!

Isn't she CUTE?

I didn't use my cricut at all!! :)
To make this I used:
Stamp: Image is Greeting Farm, sentiment is Studio G
Paper: My Mind's Eye- O Christmas Tree (LOVE IT)
Misc: stickles xmas red and diamond dust, red embossing tinsel, ribbon from my stash, and gelly roll pens for coloring.

Happy Crafting!!
