Here is my tri-fold/shutter card:
folded

standing open
Heres what I used to make this:
Paper ~ Dark Purple and Lavender: Colorbok; Purple flowers: DCWV - Pocket Full of Poseys
Embossing ~ Cuttlebug Birds and swirls
Ink ~ Memento - Grape Jelly
Stamp ~ SU short and sweet - sentiment; SU simple friendship - butterfly
Embellies ~ MS flower punch; Paper Studio silver brads
I stamped the butterfly onto the lavender with the Memento grape jelly ink and cut it out. I inked over the embossed birds and swirls with the same ink. I really liked how it came out wit h he "brushed" look here and there around the embossed image.
Enjoy and happy crafting!
hugs,
Michelle

WOW!! Gorgeous card! Purple is my favorite color.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my blog! Good luck on the DT call to you too!
Are you a hardcore grocery couponer? Or do you just use them for crafts?
I'm a follower of yours too now!

Oh yeah, I'm an extreme couponer!! I get almost all our groceries for free! I've been doing it for three-ish years now. I used to write tutorials and articles for couponing blogs too. I had a lot of friends get upset with me when I started a scrapbooking blog instead of a coupon/freebies blog! Haha!
That's why I'm calling my blog a kind of hybrid between crafting and couponing. I get most of my scrapping stuff for free or for pennies on the dollar. I've written a few articles about it so far, (click on the side button that says Swagbucks!) but I have LOTS more resources to write about. I was hoping to build up a little bit of a following first, but now that that's happening, I need to get busy writing!
Let me know if you have any questions about couponing!!
I'm just learning about coupons now. I have a friend in NV who is an extreme couponer.
Do you have the directions for your tri fold card? I just love it and would like to try to make it.
Thanks so much,
Laurie

Your card is gorgeous! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Good luck on the DT call. I became a follower.
Thanks for becoming a follower. I am a new follower as well. I love this car. I've been wanting to make a card like that for a while, but it takes a lot of layers. Great job! :-)
